Jonathan Bach is a 2016 graduate of the School of Journalism and Communication at the University of Oregon. He covered the UCC shooting as a freelancer for The Daily Beast.

Troy Brynelson is a city hall reporter with The News-Review in Roseburg, Oregon. He graduated from the School of Journalism and Communication at the University of Oregon in 2014.

Ian Campbell is a police reporter with The News-Review in Roseburg, Oregon. He was the first reporter on scene at UCC and one of the few journalists who arrived before the campus was closed. He graduated from the School of Journalism and Communication at the University of Oregon in 2014.

Chelsea Gorrow is a police reporter for The Register-Guard in Eugene, Oregon.

Andrew Greif is a sports reporter for The Oregonian in Portland, Oregon. He graduated from the School of Journalism and Communication at the University of Oregon in 2009.

Scott Greenstone is a student at the School of Journalism and Communication at the University of Oregon. He was an intern for The News-Review in Roseburg, Oregon, in the summer of 2015, and he returned to run social media accounts for the news outlet in the wake of the UCC shooting.

Joseph Hoyt is a 2016 graduate of the School of Journalism and Communication at the University of Oregon. He covered the UCC shooting for The Washington Post.

Ryan Kang is a 2016 graduate of the School of Journalism and Communication at the University of Oregon. He covered the UCC shooting as a freelance photographer for The Associated Press.

Hillary Lake covered the shooting as a reporter for KATU, the ABC affiliate in Portland, Oregon. She is a 2008 graduate of the doctoral program at the School of Journalism and Communication at the University of Oregon.

Rachael McDonald is the Morning Edition host and a reporter for KLCC, the NPR affiliate in Eugene, Oregon.

Andy Nelson is a photojournalist for The Register-Guard in Eugene, Oregon.

Chris Pietsch is assistant director of graphics and a longtime photojournalist for The Register-Guard in Eugene, Oregon. In 1998, he covered the mass school shooting at Thurston High School in Springfield, Oregon, for The Register-Guard.

Eli Saslow is a national reporter for The Washington Post who lives in Portland, Oregon. He has covered four mass shootings, including the shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in 2012. He was a 2016 Pulitzer Prize finalist in feature writing for a story about a survivor of the UCC shooting.

John Sepulvado is the Weekend Edition host at Oregon Public Broadcasting in Portland, Oregon. He covered the UCC shooting for OPB and as a stringer for CNN.

Cameron Shultz, as a student at the School of Journalism and Communication at the University of Oregon, covered the UCC shooting as a freelance photojournalist. His images from Roseburg were used by CNN, KVAL, KMTR, KATU, the New York Daily News and The New York Times. One of his photographs appears on the home page of this project.

Tim Steele is the digital manager for KOIN, the CBS affiliate in Portland, Oregon.

Michael Sullivan is a photojournalist with The News-Review in Roseburg, Oregon. He was the first photographer on scene at UCC and one of the few journalists who arrived before the campus was closed.

Dirk VanderHart is the news editor at The Portland Mercury, an alternative newspaper. He covered the UCC shooting as a freelancer for The New York Times.

Amber Wilmarth is a reporter for KEZI, the ABC affiliate in Eugene, Oregon. As the Roseburg bureau reporter on the day of the shooting, she did the first live broadcast about the shooting. She graduated from the School of Journalism and Communication at the University of Oregon in 2012.
